Payment & Refunds

A down payment of 50% is required for any website or blog design. Payment for any other package or project is due when the project begins. Hourly services are invoiced monthly with 30 days to make payment.

If you offer a product or service you think I could use, ask me about bartering services. I’ve bartered successfully with clients in the past and we can certainly consider it.

Website Design Revisions

Each website or blog design includes up to three different mockups. After reviewing the first mockup, the client will submit specific feedback, including every change to be made. We review again, and repeat the process. Clients are asked to communicate feedback with concrete language and/or examples.

Additional changes to the design after final approval will incur additional charges.

Communication

Communication is key to a successful project. The preferred methods of communication are Skype text chat and email. (Click here to register for a free Skype account if you are not already a member.) Clients are asked to respond in a timely manner to emails and chats.

Usernames & Passwords

The client is responsible for providing the usernames and passwords for FTP access, WordPress access, and domain name registration access as needed. All clients are encouraged to change their passwords at the completion of the project.

All usernames and passwords are kept in the strictest confidentiality.

Copyright

Copyright for all custom graphics is transferred to the client upon delivery. For custom WordPress themes, the design as a whole cannot be altered after installation. My design credit must be kept in the footer as long as the design is used.

Purchase of a website/blog design is for a single domain; therefore, the custom theme, as a whole or in part, may not be used on another domain. If you want to make additional changes to your design after installation, you must contact me. Another designer may not make changes to the custom theme design you purchased without permission from Digital Pen Studio.

Browser Compatibility

Custom themes are designed to be compatible with the latest versions of IE, Firefox, Safari and Chrome.

Clients understand that their website/blog designs and graphics may be used in my online portfolio.
